Given my roles in the recruitment and staffing sector, I have interviewed a lot of candidates over the past 10 years.
When asking candidates for their weaknesses a common answer was and still is "I am a perfectionist".
My advice: Please drop your defences.
I always give the example of parents. As a parent, you don´ t set out to be the perfect parent. A perfect parent would equip its child very very poorly for an imperfect world.
Why don´ t you try to equip your child with kindness, gratitude and compassion instead of perfectionism?!
Coming back to the recruitment process and candidates or jobseekers try and equip yourself with open-mindedness, curiosity and happiness instead of perfectionism.
You´ll find it will go along way with your hopefully soon to be new employer.
Much love.
